It looks semi-healthy, and will give you about half a cup of coffee’s worth of energy.

Segway Rider
A marvelous feat of gyronomecrousy, the Segway is a lot of fun. With a top speed of around 9 miles/hour, a range of perhaps 20 miles, and the ability to go off-road and do sweet hadokens (wait, no), the Segway provided hours of entertainment.
The charge time is reasonable – around 4 hours for a 75% charge which will last as long as you can handle. The ol’ calves were a bit haggered after a 45 minute trip to/around/from the local park.
While it’s a lot of fun and attracts a lot of attention/”sweet bro!”‘s, it is essentially a toy and there is no way in hell I would pay the sticker price for one. I highly recommend taking a ride on one, but don’t part with your money – unless you’ve just won Lotto.
It turns out the Segway is also a great baby-sitter – providing a perfect means of transporting/distracting small children.

The wonderful world of fighting games
If you’re like me, and fancy smashing the hell out of some make believe character devised by the gods of fighting games, then Street Fighter IV is the bizzo in your book
Needless to say, those of us who are really committed don’t fancy mashing about on a keyboard.
I initially bought a logitech D-Pad controller, which was fine for a week or 5; but up rolls mightyape with their speshals and all .. and low and behold, a fighting stick that works with PC comes up.
This bad boy was on special for $139 .. and quick text from nico saw me clicking the buy now baby button !!!
A week later I find myself talking some strange weird language that uses terms like “focus-cancel into super” . .holy crap the bed this is awesome .. could it be any better?
You damn straight it could be.
Adding Sanwa kit to a controller is a bit like washing down that “upper” pill with some ecstasy .. its like adding a lol tagline to a cat picture .. .it is the David Tua of mods !!!

So we at NetValue have been fed Coke, V, Bundaberg, and Golden Circle juice boxes for some months now. But the supermarket overlord (Suzie) thought it prudent to fill us full of diet bollocks .. I mean to say, do I look fat (eyes up front ladies ) .. do I really need to go on a diet? .. What’s with the lite stuff eh?
On any given Sunday I’ll take a pizza with MEAT thanks, with gluten, and added MSG .. lite drinks? wtf?
Do I now need to wash down my added fattie pizza with diet drinks? and fizzie diet drink at that !! And what’s with that ? fiz in the fruit? can that be real? .. there’s not a single fruit in the universe that comes with bubbles …
Now I reckon Golden Circle fruit juice with added nicotine .. thats what I should be washing my “mushroom” pizza down with .. that would overcome my three-thirty-itis.

The Product: Iphone Noise Isolation In-Ear Earphones, with Microphone and Click Button
Cost: $4.63 ( US ), about $7.60 NZD
The sound quality is not very good, especially on the bass, however it does a good job at blocking outside noise, or “Isolating the sound”. Fits in iPhone 1G, and 2G fine audio jack no problems. The click button for play / pause etc works as expected. For the cost, they work well as backup headphones, but wouldn’t use them full time because of the sound quality.
Deal Extreme Takes about 1 – 3 weeks to get an order to NZ, I got mine in just over a week. There shipping is free, which makes the shipping time a less of an issue, and keeps the cost low.

Land them planes!
The Product: Flight Control – From the app store.
Land planes & helicopters by guiding them to their specific landing space by making flight paths with your finger, using the touch screen. The game makes great use of the touch screen, and size limits of the screen. It’s easy to pick up but hard to put down, as it just becomes more and more addictive. I believe the game has been at #1 on the app store for more then a month, which will have made the developer some serious coin :O
I am currently sitting on 93, but a work mate is up to 138…. so the battle continues..
If you haven’t purchased it yet, just do it, its cheaper then a litre of cola.
